Cheers to Royal Pains for keeping the spirit of Damages alive. FX may not have renewed its superb legal thriller, but two of its alums have found summer jobs on USA's breezy medical dramedy. Campbell Scott, so chilling as Joe Tobin - the WASP Michael Corleone - on Season 3 of Damages, has reprised his recurring Royal Pains role as Boris, the cagey billionaire with a mysterious ailment. After his breakthrough roles in the terminal-disease dramas Longtime Companion (1989) and Dying Young (1991), Scott's mostly been cast in dead-serious roles, and he looks like he's having a ball with Boris' unplaceably silly Euro-accent. Meanwhile, Oscar winner Marcia Gay Harden (Pollock) - aka Damages' Season 2 corporate shark Claire Maddox - has joined Hamptons Heritage Hospital's staff as Elizabeth Blair, an imperious surgeon who's giving do-gooder Dr. Jill Casey (Jill Flint) a severe case of agita. Now if Royal Pains would just hire Martin Short and Lily Tomlin, Damages' apparent demise might hurt a little less... Source Here

It may still be the middle of summer in the world of Royal Pains, but there's a mysterious cloud headed for the Hamptons in Season 2, in the form of Hank and Evan's elusive father, Eddie. Last time viewers saw the Lawson brothers, Hank (Mark Feuerstein) was reeling from the revelation that his doctor concierge business, HankMed, was bankrupt after Evan (Paulo Costanzo) made the money available to Eddie. "We pick up the morning after the Season 1 finale. There's a little bit of a hangover effect from all the stuff that happened the night before," co-creator and co-executive producer Andrew Lenchewski tells TVGuide.com of the season premiere, airing Thursday at 10/9c on USA. "But pretty quickly, new events unfold that suck our characters back into the world of the medical emergencies." Although it's back to business as usual for Hank, Evan's error in judgment is not so easily forgotten. To Read More Click Here.

When Royal Pains returns for season two tomorrow night, the series will pick up where season one left off:
* HankMed is still bankrupt. * Boris is still dying. * Divya is still engaged.
As for Anastasia Griffith, who will recur as Dr. Emily Peck for multiple episodes, Mark Feuerstein told Fancast.com she'll âdefinitely a roadblock on many fronts,. She becomes a potential competitor in the concierge medicine industry. And then sheâs also going to maybe be Jillâs competition, because thereâs a little something going on with her and Hank." USA's famous tagline "Characters Welcome" means that it is a channel not only dedicated to entertaining audiences, but that the entertainment might be a little more quirky than most television. This is a welcome change from stations that churn out the same mind numbing procedurals year after year. With Monk, In Plain Sight, Psych, and Burn Notice, they've introduced amusing and memorable characters who come from popular genres (detective, spy, action) with a unique spin. One of their newest successes is a show titled Royal Pains, a medical show set in the Hamptons that blends a little House-esque mystery case with a MacGyver style of treatment. The second season premieres tomorrow, and USA invited Starpulse.com to visit the set, speak with the actors, and get a sneak peak at what is coming up for the show. To Read More Click Here.
